Dutch symphonic metal band Maanvlinder releases debut single
The new symphonic metal band Maanvlinder has released their debut single: "Tranen van Gisteren" (Tears of Yesterday). The song is available on all major streaming platforms.
Maanvlinder currently consists of two members. Raymond Luijbregts (Syncardion / Aether) is responsible for the instrumental parts and production. The vocalist has chosen to remain anonymous for the time being.
The song is about personal liberation after a breakup. The band consciously chooses to use the Dutch language. "A lot of pop music and also more and more metal is nowadays in Dutch, but symphonic metal remains a bit behind in this. We find that a pity, because your own language lends itself well to directly convey emotions and messages. In addition, you cannot hide behind vague English texts that mainly have to sound interesting", according to the band.
More material is currently being worked on, of which a second single will be released soon. Once there is enough material for a live set, the band also wants to take to the stage.
